Ah yes, I’m here.

“I want to be more active here” > doesn’t write an entry for almost 4 months.
To be fair, the site was down each time I did want to make an entry, and it had an extended period where it was just offline due to server troubles. It happens.
Yuki and I have slowly been working more on the house, and I’m super chuffed to have done some of these chores myself and look on them and say “I did that.”
There’s still plenty of things to be done this year, but I’m proud so far.
Anyway.
If you look back at December 12th’s post, one of my goals for this year is ‘to be more disciplined’. Am I more disciplined so far? Ehh. A little. Not in the places I expected though. House stuff? I’m a champ.
But I wanted to start more gamedev. Surprisingly I did finish a script for a game. But doing the actual gamedev stuff, I’m not feeling it lol. Still inbetween which engine I should be using, so frankly I haven’t done stuff on that front yet.
FF7 Rebirth modding:
The game came out on PC at the end of January. I had a lot of trouble setting up the tools this time around. Actual weeks of not being able to mod while others were slowly rolling out their first ones. I admit, I was kind of defeated by it, but with the help of one of my modding friends, we finally got the tools to work! 2 months after pc release, but hey! Better late than never.
So far I’ve published a Lightning over Cloud mod, and also two Tifa outfit mods!
While the Tifa ones were kind of lazy in reality (they’re Remake ports), I’m so happy with the Lightning over Cloud one. The only thing I have to work on a bit more is her hair, but its passable for now. A modder I look up to has given me a tutorial on how to improve it, so a fix should be coming in the near future.
My current WIP involves putting Yuna and all her outfits into the game! Gunner is completely done and I have roughly weightpainted all the other outfits so far. The modder I mentioned before shared the X-2 hair with me and I asked him for a tutorial so I could fix my Lightning hair, which is so so appreciated. The hair looks twice as good as how I could make it on my own.
Songstress needs a few minor tweaks, but is pretty much done too. I do think I’ll be releasing a version without the tail though, its physics are really wacky at times.
